Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks preferably pre-frozen for best texture
  • 1 cup ice cubes adjust for desired consistency
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk optional for creaminess
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice optional for zing

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cup

Method

  1. Add the frozen pineapple chunks and ice cubes into your blender.
  2. Pulse the blender a few times to break up the ice and start mixing the fruit, listening for a crushing sound.
  3. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds until the mixture looks smooth and slushy, with tiny ice particles evenly distributed.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk and lime juice, if using, and quickly pulse again to combine everything thoroughly.
  5. Check the consistency—if it’s too thick, add a splash of chilled coconut water or more lime juice and blend briefly.
  6. Once the mixture is icy and smooth with no frozen chunks, transfer it into glasses.
  7. Garnish with a small slice of pineapple or a sprig of mint for a final tropical touch.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, and enjoy the refreshing, cool sensation of this tropical treat.

Notes

For an extra creamy texture, blend in a bit of coconut milk. Use pre-frozen pineapple chunks for the best icy consistency. Adjust the amount of ice depending on the desired thickness.
